Blue Devils Take Gold

19 In Nineteen

The Blue Devils won their 19th Drum Corps International World Championship in Indianapolis, Indiana, last Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019. The drum corps took the gold with a final score of 98.325.

"In a season filled with remarkable productions and performers, we are beyond excited to have won the gold in 2019," remarks CEO Shaun Gallant. "Our designers and members pushed the limits every moment of the season and brought our 2019 production of Ghostlight to life."

The Blue Devils Drum Corps is a not-for-profit youth organization hailing from Concord, California. The most decorated corps in the history of DCI, the Blue Devils have finished in the top five for over 40 years and have won the DCI World Championship title more than any other performing group. Ages 17–21.

Blue Devils performers are from all over the world and the United States. Many are from the Concord area and have been with the BDPA organization from a very young age. BD Performing Arts permanently enriches the lives of young people through a commitment to youth development and performance excellence, while providing enjoyment for our local community and audiences worldwide. 

Blue Devils performers experienced the journey of a lifetime, earning them not only a remarkable season but learning and taking skills with them that will stay with them always. Their win makes our future look very bright.
